Scott Logan has served in a variety of roles in churches and schools in Georgia, Missouri, Illinois, and Kansas. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Music (piano) from Brewton-Parker Christian University, Mt. Vernon, GA and a Master of Music in Choral Conducting from Missouri State University, Springfield, MO. In 2009, Scott began his Kansas music education career and has taught music theory/history, piano, 4-12 vocal music and has directed/assistant-directed numerous musicals. Scott belongs to the Kansas Music Educators Association/NAfME, the Kansas Choral Directors Association/ACDA, and the Kansas Exemplary Educators Network. Outside of public education, Scott has directed the Reno Choral Society's "Salute to America" concert since 2019 and has also sung in the Wichita Symphony Chorus and the Wichita Chamber Chorale. As an accompanist, he has played piano and organ for churches, choirs, vocal and instrumental soloists, and various musical productions. In addition to teaching and performing, Scott is an active adjudicator for piano, vocal, and choral festivals. He has been writing choral music for his choirs to perform for over a decade but just recently began devoting more energy to arranging, composing, and publishing. Scott's wife Angela teaches Philosophy and Ethics at Hutchinson Community College. They live in Haven, Kansas and are proud parents of four wonderful young adults with two bonus daughters in the mix.
