A professional church musician since he was thirteen, Erik has written a large body of sacred music for choirs and instrumentalists of all skill levels. His sacred works include numerous anthems, a mass, a passion, canticle settings, psalms, and solo instrumental music. He also has written four short operas and music for instrumental ensembles of various sizes and makeups. He is also the composer of the Johns Hopkins University school song. Erik currently serves as Music Director of the Church of St. Martin-in-the-Fields, Philadelphia, where he oversees a large and very active music program. As an organist, he has performed over 100 recitals throughout the US and Europe, and regularly performs flute & organ concerts with his wife, Anna.
