Stuart Beatch (b. 1991) is a Canadian composer currently living in Edmonton, Alberta. He completed a Master of Music in Composition at King’s College London under composer Rob Keeley, and has received mentorship from Sir James MacMillan and Uģis Prauliņš. Stuart has held Composer in Residence positions with Chronos Vocal Ensemble in Edmonton (2023-24), and The Fourth Choir in London (2018-20). His music has frequently been sung by vocal ensembles across North America and Europe, including the BBC Singers, Elysian Singers, VoNo (Voces Nordicae), National Youth Choir of Canada, Pro Coro Canada, Luminous Voices, musica intima, Toronto Mendelssohn Choir, Cantabile Chamber Singers, Empire City Men's Chorus, Chorus Austin, and Choral Arts Initiative. Stuart is an Associate Composer with the Canadian Music Centre and a member of the Canadian League of Composers.
