Modeled after the Passions of Johann Sebastian Bach, Kata Markon, is a musical setting of the Passion narrative according to the Gospel of Mark. In addition to the traditional use of vocal soloists, chorus, organ, and instrumental ensemble, this work also blends influences of sacred Jewish and traditional Middle Eastern Music.
