Two Childhood Poems of Walter de la Mare - $2.00 x

About the Score

These two pieces were the first music I ever composed for SATB chorus and piano. They were written in 2003, during my junior year of high school. I had very little idea what I was doing. I’ve made minor revisions since then, but have left both scores largely as they were. 11 years later (!), I hope these selections are just the right mix of challenging and accessible for good choirs at any level. “The Ruin” was the winner of the 2003 Vancouver Chamber Choir Young Composers Competition. “The Ruin” and “Five Eyes” both appear on the 2005 Concordia University A Cappella Choir recording All Sounds Became Music.
