About the Score

This began as an experiment in dissonant harmony using only four voices. Anyone can create 'big' chords with 7 and 8 parts, but I wanted to try to maximize the harmonic possibilities of only four parts. The text is a metaphor on the frailty and brevity of human life, and is appropriate in almost all concert experiences.
