Matt Hill is a choral conductor/composer/educator based in Omaha Nebraska. He founded the nonprofit “Sing Omaha” in 2007, and serves as Executive Director and Artistic Director; conducting three choirs (of 8), planning annual eight-concert seasons, teaching applied voice, and overseeing a faculty of 30 educators. Hill serves as Director of Choral Activities at Creighton University in Omaha, conducting the Chamber Choir and University Chorus and teaching coursework. He earned a Master’s degree in Choral Conducting at Oklahoma State and a Doctorate in Choral Conducting at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Hill regularly presents at professional conferences, and is active as a guest conductor. He serves ACDA as a national board member, and is the Executive Director of its Nebraska chapter. He is a two-time Nebraska Choral Conductor of the Year and won the Teaching Excellence Award (faculty member of the year) at Peru State (NE) in 2019.
