About the Score

Composed for the centennial celebration of Lynden Christian Schools (Lynden, Washington) in 2010, Song of Generations sets verses from Psalm 78 and incorporates Isaac Watts' "O God, Our Help in Ages Past." It was composed with inter-generational participation in mind: young children can learn the refrain melody, and the audience is invited to join in the final refrain. The descant can be either sung by the choir or played by trumpet.
