About the Score

Don't You Weep When I Am Gone is an a cappella SSAATTBB choral arrangement with soloist of the spiritual based on Jeremiah 22:10. This setting captures elements of longing and hope for release from the sorrow of this life. Commissioned by the Plano Civic Chorus, Ralph F. Stannard Artistic Director and Conductor, it was premiered by the joint forces of the PCC and the Southwestern Christian College A Cappella Chorus in April 2017.
