Debra Scroggins, a native and resident Texan, is known for her lyrical and emotionally engaging compositions. Her music has been performed throughout the United States as well as in England, France, Spain, Thailand, Russia, and Columbia, South America. Named a Commissioned Composer by the Texas Music Teachers Association in 2010, Debra currently serves as Composer in Residence for The Texas Voices and the Plano (TX) Civic Chorus. Drawing upon years of experience as a composer, educator, professional soloist and chorister, she is highly sought-after for commissions, guest conducting and as a consultant to choirs in churches, schools, universities, and professional and amateur choral groups of all ages. In addition to her self-published works, her music is also published by Oxford University Press, Alliance Music Publications, Pavane Publishing, Choristers Guild, Santa Barbara Music Publishing, Heritage Music Press and earthsongs.
