About the Score

This rollicking tune uses a gospel-funk feel to create an image of the slightly bumpy donkey ride to Bethlehem. Needs a soprano soloist with a good A just above the staff. Medium difficulty. Ideal with electric bass and some sort of hand percussion or even hand claps (the premiere used a tambourine banged with a wooden spoon), but a strong performance can be had with simply piano.
