Steven Olson
Steven Olson is a PhD student in Music Education and Choral Conducting at Florida State University, where he recently completed his Master's degree in Choral Conducting. At FSU, he currently serves as Assistant Conductor of the University Singers under Dr. Kevin Fenton. Before this, his five-year tenure in public school education included founding the choral program at Green Level High School in Cary, NC. His excellence in music education has been recognized with both the Cary Chamber of Commerce Excellence in Teaching award and the North Carolina ACDA's Richard G. Cox Award for Outstanding Emerging Choral Conductor. Also active as a clinician and presenter, Steven has presented professional development sessions in Florida, Kentucky, and North Carolina, sharing his research in vocal pedagogy and choral conducting.
