Sarah T. Tullock is an award-winning music educator, lecturer, choral composer, painter, and poet, living and working near Chattanooga, TN. Tullock holds a BA in Church Music from Emory & Henry University as well as a Masters Degree in Music Education from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. As a certified Kodály practitioner, Tullock serves as a choral conducting instructor for the Kodály Institute at UTC and as a research, pedagogy, and conducting instructor for the Carolina Kodály Institute. During the school year, Tullock teaches pre-k through 5th grade general music at Snow Hill Elementary School. Tullock was the 2022 recipient of the Organization of American Kodály Educators “Outstanding Emerging Educator” award, and has served as a featured elementary music clinician for Texas MEA as well as other state conferences. Tullock took her first choral arranging classes with Dr. Roland Carter during her grad school years and later learned from Alice Parker as a Melodious Accord Fellow.
