Nancy Ruth Durance is a Canadian soprano, composer, and modern hymn writer from the Saskatchewan prairies. She composes choral and piano music, as well as choral anthems, congregational hymns, and music for liturgy. Some of her titles are published with Beckenhorst Press, ICC Publishing House, and self-published through www.nancydurance.com. As a conductor, Nancy has conducted choirs in Canada, Vietnam, England, Slovenia, and the United States, and currently conducts the early music ensemble Atlanta Schola Cantorum. She belongs to the American Choral Director's Association (ACDA), and her PhD from the Talbot School of Theology at Biola University (’25), explores the reciprocal nature of contemporary culture and the arts. Nancy resides in the Atlanta area with her husband and 4 sons.
