Julian Bryson is Director of Choral Activities at Jacksonville University (FL) and a founding member of Triad: Boston's Choral Collective. He holds a doctoral degree in Choral Conducting from the University of Kentucky, writing his dissertation on choral collectives. As a composer, his work has earned national awards including winning the Raymond W. Brock Student Composition Contest sponsored by the American Choral Directors Association, earning a 3rd place finish in the American Prize for Professional Choral Composition, and winning the Yale Glee Club Emerging Composers Contest. He has completed commissions from the Florida Vocal Association All-State Choirs, the University of Kentucky, First Baptist Church of Huntsville (AL), and the Huntsville Community Chorus, among others. An avid fan of the theatre, Julian has conducted productions ranging from Carmen to Urinetown.
