John Calderaio (b. 1997) is currently a music education major at Temple University in Philadelphia and is a member of the prestigious Temple Concert Choir. He began composing at the age of 16, and his compositions have been premiered at the White House, Philadelphia Cathedral, Trinity Episcopal Cathedral in Trenton, and in Washington, DC at New York Avenue Presbyterian Church. John has worked as a professional singer and conductor at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Doylestown, Pennsylvania and has been resident composer and a member of the Board of Directors of Watson Creek Choral Project in Bucks County. A poignant new commission, “Angels”, a work for choir, soloists, and piano, will be premiered this spring. He is a 2016 graduate of Central Bucks High School – West where he was an outstanding musician, student leader, and theatrical performer. John finds inspiration in the natural world and is particularly fond of roses.
