Jeremy Jennings (b. 1978) is a classical composer and self taught painter. He grew up on a remote island off the coast of Washington state and attended Lewis and Clark College (BA) and the University of Oregon (MM). During the 2013-2014 season he was the Nova Vocal Ensemble’s first composer in residence and in 2006 he spent 5 month as an artist in residence at Lijiang studios in Yunnan province, China. His vocal and instrumental works have been performed in Europe, China and across the US and his paintings have been shown in Shanghai, Florence, Italy, Oregon and North Carolina.
