About the Score

A setting of the 14th century English mystic Julian of Norwich's text "Without Warning" for SATB chorus and organ. The piece was commissioned by Jo-Michael Scheibe for the historic Coral Gables Community Church. After a gentle opening, the piece presents a number of short fugues on the text and is suitable for an Advent anthem.
