These settings of texts by 20th century Welsh poet Dylan Thomas use Thomas’ words to paint soundscapes, depicting the images of isolation, mystery and wonder present in the poetry. A quartet of soloists hover above the choral texture, outlining the beauty in the darkness. The first movement is for solo quartet only, and the full choir slowly creeps into the soundscape in ‘We walked through the trees’. Available as individual movements or full cycle.
