About the Score

The text is taken from a collect from the evening service of Compline. It was premiered in 2017 by The King's Counterpoint. The anthem has been adopted by Old St Andrew's in Charleston, SC where it's sung frequently. The choir and congregation has sub-titled the anthem 'A Prayer for Old St Andrew's' on account of the dangers they faced from a hurricane which threatened the area when it was scheduled to be sung.
