About the Score

Peter de Mets' setting of the UBI CARITAS text was commissioned by the Arch Diocese of Philadelphia for the 2001 All-Catholic Chorus, the late Robert Page was the conductor of the world premiere. My father, Lee de Mets, conducted a subsequent performance of the work at the National Basilica in Washington D.C.
