About the Score

I have always been attracted to this text, of which we know wonderful settings. I wanted to reflect from the first bars the goodness and love of God. In this way, the words 'Caritas' and 'Amor' appear synthetically, expressed with soft descending motifs in the introduction. The main theme is very kind and emotional, and contrasts with that of the second section, more fluid and happy, in which the harmonies in 'timeamus' and 'amemus' are differentiated. Towards the end of the score, there comes the most tremendous moment, in which the word 'Love' is expressed in a broad and intense way and is immersed in the motifs for the introduction, ending with great tenderness and serenity. The score is dedicated to my wife, María José, in the year that we celebrate our silver anniversary.
