About the Score

Kurt Knecht's Trois Nouvelles Etudes for organ. The first etude explores pedal technique and is very loosely modeled on Chopin's Op. 10 No. 5. The second presents two melodies successively and then simultaneously requiring the organist to play on three manuals at once. The final etude is a tour de force in the French Toccata style.
