About the Score

I feel a special predilection for Jesus' speech to his disciples at the Last Supper, which is recorded in John's Gospel. I imagine an intimate scene, very close, of great empathy with his own. I have written This is my Commandment in a minimal style, using the technique of medieval polyphonic conductus. With the superimposition of voices over the main one, the discourse gains in eloquence, until it reaches the climax zones, located in 'that you love' and 'what I command you'. This is my Commandment was premiered by NEOVOCALIS, conducted by myself, on 8 June 2022 whitin the HOPE project.
