About the Score

Composed at the Lehigh University Choral Composers Forum, a week-long intensive retreat where composers meet with mentor composers (in my case, Dr. Steven Sametz and the late Dr. Steven Stucky) to create a new piece to be premiered by the Princeton Singers.

The text is by poet/philosopher George Santayana and is the second sonnet in a group of 4 all dedicated to the young "W.P" who tragically died at a very young age.
