About the Score

Composed for Pastor Julie Peterson on the occasion of her ordination and installation as Pastor of Ascension Lutheran Church in Newtown PA. Julie's favorite scripture is John 1, so Peter asked his writing partner, Mark A. Boyle to compose a sonnet using the scripture as inspiration. Premiered by members of the Princeton Singers at the installation service in Newtown on December 2. It will be included in the Candlelight service at Seton Hill University conducted by the Poet in December, 2019.
