About the Score

With this piece, I hoped to highlight the surreal and vivid language that Lawson uses to describe the dreams of a grieving mother. Seeing memories that aren't made yet - that's the hardest part about losing someone too early. You have dreams of all the things you were going to do with them, but now they will forever be just flickering dreams, because they're gone now. This is a piece about that unfathomable loss.
