About the Score

The Trumpet Shall Sound was commissioned the Concordia (KS) High School Choir and its director, Mr. Kevin Johnson, and was premiered at the Kansas Music Education Association State In-Service Workshop in February 2017. A setting of eschatological passages from 1 Corinthians and 1 Thessalonians, The Trumpet Shall Sound begins with a aura of mystery, and then transforms into a lively and lilting song of praise.
