Singing, I Walk

The Pineville Motets are three short choral pieces composed in loving memory of the poet, Mildred "Millie" Stiner, a long time member of the Forest Grove Presbyterian Church, where I served as the Director of Music for 13 years. Millie's poetry was found by her children and as a gift, they collected the poems, had them bound in a book with beautiful calligraphy. The pastor at Forest Grove read the second poem, I'd Find Myself in Such a Fix, during a sermon and I asked the Stiner family if I could see the poems and set some of them to music. The Pineville Motets were born. The movements are I. Remembrance, II. I'd Find Myself in Such a Fix, and III. Singing, I Walk.

The motets are available separately for $2 each or the complete set for $5.
