About the Score

This is an upbeat, joyful setting of George Herbert's wonderful poem, "The Call." The piece is very tuneful and tonal, with a few modulations that propel it to a big ending.

This piece was commissioned by The Salt Lake Choral Artists (Brady Allred, conductor) for their tour of Spain, including a performance at The World Choral Symposium in Barcelona, in 2017.
