Talk About Sufferin' is a soulful tune that I first discovered in a bluegrass songbook. The recordings by Ricky Skaggs and Doc Watson are inspirational when exploring an authentic singing style. Talk About Sufferin' has also been recorded by The Blind Boys of Alabama. I thought that it would be a fun piece for TTBB collegiate choirs to sing. There is repetition in my arrangement with verses for father, brother, mother, and sister. The repetition enables the choir to put the piece together fairly quickly. This new TTBB arrangement will work well with many high school, University, community and church choirs.
