About the Score

Sunset Hymn is a meditation on the sunset for SATB, no divisi. Weaving polyphony and meter changes introduce moderate difficulty, but the range is very moderate. Duration: approximately 4 minutes 15 seconds. Commissioned by Michael Bauer and the University of Kansas Bales Chorale. Premiered 5/18 by the Bales Chorale in the Bales Recital Hall at the University of Kansas. The SoundCloud recording features the KU Chamber singers.
