About the Score

This is a setting of a wonderful Christmas poem by Langston Hughes. It has piano accompaniment, and is very melodic and memorable.

This piece was commissioned by three choruses: Salt Lake Choral Artists (Brady Allred, conductor), Brandywine Valley Chorale (Jason Throne, conductor), and Brookdale Concordia Chorale (John Balme, conductor). It was also performed by the University of the Arts Chorus (Jeffrey Kern, conductor).
