About the Score

The Sanctus is a setting for SATB chorus, soprano solo, and piano. It is part of my larger work Missa Prolationem. Calm, lyrical sections for a solo soprano are contrasted with exciting rhythmic passages for the choir. The recording here is from the original version with organ and string quartet, but the piece works extremely well with piano or organ accompaniment.
