About the Score

The Lord's promises of peace are always a welcome comfort, and the familiar text of Isaiah 66 contains such a promise, here set for SATB chorus and organ (piano may be used). An delightful melody quickly becomes an engaging canon in two parts, which leads to a section in four part harmony. Nothing here is more technically challenging than a hymn. A center section is optionally unaccompanied but keyboard support may be provided for security if desired. A return to the opening material provides a satisfying conclusion to an anthem which can be made effective with surprisingly little rehearsal.
