About the Score

“Peace” is a composition written for choir, inspired by the poem “Peace,” by John Clare (1793-1864). On October 7, 2023, Israel was attacked killing many of their citizens and visitors who were attending a concert. As we mourned the loss of life, and hope for the safe return of the hostages taken on that day, the whole world was thrown into chaos. Protests were being experienced both in Europe and here in the United States. As human beings, we are always hoping and praying for world peace.
