About the Score

An SATB setting (with some sop divisi) plus organ, of moderate difficulty.

First sung at evensong in Exeter Cathedral, Jul 2017 by The Hillwood Singers. It has also been sung by other choirs during Sunday Eucharist in Wakefield Cathedral and elsewhere in the UK and Europe. The text is suitable for Candlemas and other occasions throughout the church year.

'O most blessed light, fill the inmost heart of your faithful. Without your spirit, there is nothing in man, nothing that is not harmful. Cleanse that which is unclean, water that which is dry, heal that which is wounded.'
