A short and simple setting of Georgia Douglass Johnson's poem of the same name. This piece features a simple treble solo and SAT trio throughout, who are joined and affirmed by an SATB ensemble. The poem speaks simply and earnestly about the scary and intimidating realities of pursuing ones own dreams and ambitions. However, one look at the poet's life will show that overcoming those fears is achievable for anyone, and results in a life beautifully led.
