About the Score

After having received a recording of Frank Martin's great Mass for Double Choir, and listening to it hundreds of times, I lost the CD. A number a years later, my memory of it inspired my own Mass for Double Choir. Written during a troubled time in my life (2002-03), I pleaded for mercy, I worked through what I believed, I expressed the glory and sanctity of my Source, and I questioned whether peace could be achieved in this lifetime. The premiere performance was the tenth anniversary concert for Denver's St. Martin's Chamber Choir in June of 2004.

Great Kyrie

Wrong I know but I judge a mass by its Kyrie...this one is superb. The resonance grabs your emotions quickly. Mostly female voices so when there is a strong male presence, there is depth and character. Loved it.
