About the Score

The piece is written for mixed choir with piano accompaniment and is in five-four time signature. I've employed this 'limping' and irregular rhythm, yet strived to harmonize the melody within it consistently. This encapsulates the challenge every parent faces in raising their children, having to reconcile something inherently difficult to manage, like the life of another human being entrusted to you. In my case, having a non-verbal autistic child has amplified this challenge.
