About the Score

I wrote this choral setting of L’Chah Dodi when I was awarded a Faith Partners grant from the American Composers’ Forum. This residency program combined three different religious groups; I was to write one piece for each organization and one work for their combined choirs. The members of my group were: Temple Israel, The Basilica of Saint Mary, and St. Benedict’s College and Monastery. Twin Cities Jewish Chorale performed a revised version of this piece on June 2, 2019. Gary Wolfman, conductor
