About the Score

The song gives voice to my son, a nonverbal child suffering from an autistic spectrum disorder, telling his suffering and his hopes. "Orange" is intended as the symbol of pain, so anyone who listens to the song can replace this image with any other that epitomizes their own pain. The "sweet and warm voice" symbolizes any person or event that offers usmercy, saving us from our sadness. This is a piece for SATB with divisi. The piece has been recorded by Salt Lake Vocal Artists (Dr. Brady Allred, conductor) on June 19, 2019 in Libby Gardner Concert Hall.
