"In the firelight," an unabashedly sentimental piece, evokes the comforts of home, childhood, and a loving family with lush, beautiful imagery. The piece was commissioned by the East Carolina University ACDA Chapter and premiered by the ECU Chamber Singers in 2014, with Andrew Crane conducting. This piece is perfect for most collegiate programs and large, accomplished high school programs. Premiered April 29, 2014
