About the Score

This piece was written in collaboration with Mrs. Michelle Chan, and Mr. Yuesen Yang. I had never written in Chinese before, and believed it would be a fun and challenging task. This piece is set to poetry by the Chinese Golden Age poet, Du Fu. The poem paints a lovely natural scene, and the music offers a bouncy, yet contemplative tone.
