About the Score

The original setting of this piece was written without piano and premiered in the spring of 2011 by the Murrieta Valley High School Concert Choir conducted by Jaclyn Johnson. It’s meant to serve as an anthem — a fanfare for all things kind and gracious — sometimes bursting with joy, sometimes more somber and bittersweet. It was also intended to showcase the strength and charisma of an ensemble brave enough to sing it. A virtuosic piano part was added in 2016 for The L.A.
