About the Score

This setting of "For the Beauty of the Earth" was composed in response to a composition competition held in Rhode Island in June of 2021. Ensemble Altera, the wonderful choir that sponsored the competition, and that premiered this piece called for a new setting of the beloved text by Folliott Sandford Pierpoint to help people heal during this difficult time. This piece was premiered in Rhode Island in July of 2021
