About the Score

Eloi, Eloi was commissioned by my dear friend and cathedral choir member Glenda Voller, and is set to Jesus’ words on the cross, “Eloi, Eloi, lama sabachthani?” which means “My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?”

Premiered on Sunday, April 14th at the 10am Palm Sunday Mass by the St. James Cathedral Choir in Seattle. Joseph Adam, conductor.
