About the Score

When my friend Hilary asked me to write a piece about Kansas City for the Kansas City Women's Chorus, I quickly realized the dearth of adequate poetic texts regarding BBQ. I decided to turn to that wonderful tradition in our musical heritage of writing about water and fountains. Kansas City is second only to Rome in the number of fountains in a metropolitan area. I wrote a little bagatelle for them that I find quite charming.
