About the Score

Sean Ivory's "Christe, lux mundi" is a setting of three texts for SATB Chorus and orchestra. The work begins with a setting of "O Come, O Come Emmanuel." The second movement is a setting of the Sara Teasdale text, "A Night in Arizona" using the tune "Jefferson" from Tennessee Harmony. The third movement is a setting of the Christe, lux mundi taken from John 8:12 with some original texts and snippets of carol texts. The work is well within the reach of any choir.
