About the Score

This piano piece has been written in memory of my great-grandfather, the Maestro Riccardo De Carlo, who left Italy at beginning of 20th century to find his way in America as musician and composer. I tried to tell his travel, his melancholy and his hopes. The song was performed and recorded by Maestro Francesco Silvestri during the summer of 2019 and would have been performed during a concert at Vibo Valentia (Italy) in 2020, but this concert was postponed due to the covid emergency.
